Eaton Corp. picks Penske as LLP in Europe
Eaton Corp., a diversified industrial manufacturer with 2005 sales of $11.1 billion, has contracted with Penske Logistics for Penske to be Eaton’s lead logistics provider in Europe.
Under the agreement, Penske will provide transportation management services followed by a redesign of Eaton’s supply chain for its European manufacturing operations in 13 countries.
“The first step will be for Penske to implement the day-to-day handling of Eaton’s inbound and outbound flows,” said Mario Hegewald, global logistics director for Eaton Corp.
The two companies have had an established relationship in the United States. Financial terms of their agreement covering Europe were not disclosed.
