EGL EAGLE GLOBAL LOGISTICS, WESTERN DIGITAL EXPAND PARTNERSHIP
EGL Eagle Global Logistics said Tuesday it has expanded its partnership with Western Digital, the digital information giant.
The one-year contract designates EGL as the primary supplier for Western Digital's import air and customs brokerage services from Malaysia to specific U.S. destinations.
Starting Aug. 1, Western Digital began transitioning additional tonnage into the EGL system. Once the transition is completed, EGL will double the volume of products it has shipped into Western Digital's distribution centers and to its customers.
Houston-based EGL said it expects Western Digital to se improved transit times, reduced costs and improved communications.
