EGL picks salesforce.com software to manage customer data

   EGL Inc., which operates under the name EGL Eagle Global Logistics, has contracted with salesforce.com for software to manage client information.

   Eagle Global Logistics, a Houston-based provider of transportation, supply chain management, and information services that, has implemented the software, salesforce.com S3, in 300 offices worldwide. More than 825 users share information, documents and files in real-time through a central location. The new application is known within the company as Eagle-i.

   Salesforce.com, based in San Francisco, has more than 7,000 customers in 110 countries running its services in 10 languages.
