Eight cranes arrive at CSX World Terminals facility in Caucedo
CSX World Terminals LLC, a terminal operator in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and the United States, said Monday that two new post-Panamax gantry cranes and six rubber-tired gantry cranes have arrived at its new facility at Caucedo, the Dominican Republic.
The cranes will be installed and tested prior to the November startup of operations at Caucedo.
The 123.5-acre terminal, protected by a newly built breakwater, has already received 20 new Commando 50 off-road tractors and 30 new 45-foot, heavy-duty twin-20 bombcarts.
