ELITE INTERNATIONAL PICKS INTTRA SHIPPING PORTAL

Elite International Transportation, a Houston-based freight forwarder, has joined the logistics network of INTTRA Inc., a provider of business-to-business ocean freight services.

Elite has deployed both INTTRA-ACT, which supports door-to-door ocean transport services for customers that book with one or more carriers, and INTTRA-LINK, which provides a pipeline of shipping and logistics data to larger companies directly through enterprise resource planning or supply chain systems.

According to INTTRA, Elite is the first American freight forwarder to use INTTRA-LINK.

“Uniform direct access to all cargo in transit eliminates customized processes for each carrier,” said Michael Loop, vice president of business development for Elite. “INTTRA’s logistics network enables us to interact directly with multiple carriers through one Internet-based connection.'

INTTRA, based in Parsippany, N.J., is sponsored by CMA CGM, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd, Kuehne & Nagel International AG, Maersk Sealand, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A., P&O Nedlloyd, and United Arab Shipping.
