ENVISION PERIPHERALS PICKS GT NEXUS FOR PRIVATE NETWORK
Envision Peripherals Inc., a provider of personal computer monitors, has contracted with GT Nexus, a logistics services provider, to create a private logistics network.
Under terms of the agreement, GT Nexus will design and deploy a platform of software solutions and a data repository for Envision Peripherals to use to manage shipment information.
The GT Nexus network will comprise “a single collaborative system that maps our supply chain and connects us to our service providers,” said Tak Shimizu, executive vice president of Envision Peripherals, which has its headquarters in Fremont, Calif.
GT Nexus offers three product lines of software that tie together data and processes: GT Nexus Orders, GT Nexus Planning, and GT Nexus Execution. The provider also functions as an e-shipping portal with 12 ocean carrier partners: APL, CP Ships, Crowley Liner Services, CSAV, Hanjin, Hyundai, “K” Line, MOL, Senator Lines, Wan Hai, Yang Ming, and Zim Israel Navigation Co.
