Etihad Crystal Cargo joins Cargo 2000
United Arab Emirates-based Etihad Airways’ freight unit Etihad Crystal Cargo has joined Cargo 2000.
Cargo 2000 is a coalition of nearly 50 air freight and logistics firms whose goal is to reduce the number of processes in the shipper-to-consignee chain.
“Etihad Crystal Cargo has one big advantage in joining Cargo 2000,” said Ingo Roessler, vice president. “We are a very young company and have the advantage to start from a clean sheet, introducing processes in an effective way right from the beginning.”
In a separate development, Etihad Airways will this summer start flights from the U.A.E. to Paris, Dhaka and Casbalanca, using A330-200 aircraft, the first of which was delivered Feb. 28.
