EUROPE/MED LINES TO RAISE RATES
Europe/Mediterranean Trade Agreement member lines said they will raise rates for services from Italian ports to the United Kingdom, Northwest continent, Scandinavia and the Baltic by DM 100 (about $45) per 20-foot container and DM 160 (about $72) per 40-footer, effective Sept. 1. Rates from United Kingdom ports will be raised '25 (about $35.50) per TEU.
