EUROPE/MIDDLE EAST CARRIERS RAISE BUNKER CHARGE
Shipping lines of the Europe Middle East Rate Agreement have advised shippers that they plan to increase their bunker adjustment factor surcharge to $45 per TEU in November, from $35 per TEU in October.
“Increased bunker costs are again affecting carriers operating in this trade, and it has therefore become necessary to increase the level of bunker adjustment factor,” the conference said.
The conference members include Maersk Sealand, P&O Nedlloyd, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM, United Arab Shipping Co. and others.
