Europe/South America carriers raise Panama canal charge
The cover the increased Panama Canal Authority charges effective Jan. 1, shipping lines of the European/South Pacific & Magellan conference said that they will raise their “Panama Canal Surcharge” in February.
The shipping lines’ increased surcharge will be 24 euros per TEU for Euro-denominated rates, or $24 per TEU for U.S. dollar-denominated rates.
The European/South Pacific & Magellan conference covers the trade between Europe and the West Coast of South America.
