EVERGREEN DROPS NAGOYA FROM PACIFIC LINK
Taiwanese mega-carrier Evergreen is dropping direct calls at Nagoya from its weekly transpacific TPN service.
The last call at Nagoya on the service will be made by Ever Diamond on Oct. 29.
The TPN service uses five vessels with an average capacity of 5,076 TEUs. The revised port rotation is Vancouver, Tacoma, Tokyo, Osaka, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Tacoma and Vancouver.
A spokesman for Evergreen said calls at Nagoya were being dropped from the TPN service to “improve over-all transit and service levels.”
Evergreen still has one weekly call at Nagoya as an import direct call to the U.S. on its Round-the-World eastbound service.
