EVERGREEN LAUNCHES SINGAPORE FREIGHTER SERVICE
Evergreen International Airlines, an Oregon-based all-cargo carrier, has launched B747 freighter service from Singapore to San Francisco; Columbus, Ohio; and New York.
The twice-weekly service leaves Singapore on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, arriving in the United States later the same day.
“We see an opportunity in adding Singapore to our scheduled services for this fits in with Evergreen’s expansion plans throughout Asia,” said Ron Lane, Evergreen’s vice chairman. “We plan to add a third Singapore frequency in June in time for the 2000 peak season.”
Evergreen offers scheduled, charter and wet-lease all-cargo services using a fleet of 11 B747s and 10 DC-9s.
