EVERGREEN SETS UP JOINT VENTURE AGENCY IN SINGAPORE
Taiwan’s Evergreen group has established a joint venture company in Singapore to represent both Evergreen Marine Corp. and Uniglory Marine Corp., two shipping lines of the group.
The agency company, called Evergreen Shipping (S) Pte. Ltd., is a venture between Evergreen and RTW Shipping (S) Pte. Ltd., the former agent for Evergreen and Uniglory in Singapore.
From this month, both lines will be represented in Singapore by the new joint venture company.
The former managing director of RTW, Patrick Ang, has assumed the same position in the new company, while Benjamin Tsay has been appointed president. Tsay was based in Taipei with Evergreen Marine Corp.
