EWATA altering West African congestion surcharges
Shipping lines of the Europe West Africa Trade Agreement will adjust the southbound congestion surcharges for a number of West African ports.
Effective Jan. 21 the surcharges will be:
* Luanda, from '120/175 euros per TEU to '135/200 euros per TEU.
* Tema, from '205/300 euros to '65/100 euros per TEU.
* Apapa, from '70/100 euros to '35/50 euros per TEU.
* Cotonou, from '185/275 euros to '118/175 euros per TEU.
* Lome, from '135/200 euros to '65/100 euros per TEU.
* Pointe Noire, from '35/50 euros to '17/25 euros per TEU.
* Dakar, from '17/25 euros to '17/25 euros per TEU.
* Matadi, from '50/75 euros to '35/50 euros per TEU.
