Ex-Chief of Staff Card joins UP board
Former White House Chief of Staff, Andrew Card, has as been elected to Union Pacific Corp.’s board of directors.
Card served as chief of staff for President George W. Bush from November 2000 to April this year.
Prior to joining the White House, Card was vice president of government relations for General Motors Corp. From 1993 to 1998, he was president and chief executive officer of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association. From 1992 through 1993, Card served as the 11th transportation secretary under President George H.W. Bush. He also served as a deputy assistant to the president, and director of intergovernmental affairs for President Ronald Reagan.
