Catapult International appoints new chief executive officer, while Air Transport Services Group and NorthPoint Logistics each name chief operating officer.
Catapult International, a freight rate management software provider headquartered in Lenexa, Kan., has named Virgil Ferreira as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Matt Motsick. Ferreira joined Catapult in December, serving as the company’s vice president of business development. His previous experience includes roles with the ocean freight booking platform INTTRA and BCG xChange, a container interchange solution.
Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), an aircraft leasing and air cargo transportation services provider headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio, has named Richard Corrado chief operating officer. Since 2010, Corrado has served as chief commercial officer of ATSG, and president of its Cargo Aircraft Management, Inc. and Airborne Global Solutions, Inc. subsidiaries. Before joining ATSG, Corrado served as chief operating officer of AFMS Logistics Management, and president of Transform Consulting Group. He was also previously executive vice president of air services for DHL Express, and senior vice president of marketing for Airborne Express.
NorthPoint Logistics, a Riverside, Mo.-based freight forwarder, cold storage, and customs brokerage company, hired Amy Rice as its first chief operating officer. Rice, who has 20 years of experience in global trading and supply chain, was previously vice president of operations at Marisol International. She is a licensed customs broker, certified export specialist and a certified customs specialist.
