EXEL TAPS VIEWLOCITY FOR SUPPLY CHAIN SOFTWARE
Exel Logistics, which recently merged with MSAS Global Logistics, has signed a global corporate licensing agreement to use supply chain management software made by Atlanta-based Viewlocity.
Viewlocity said Exel will use AMTrix to deliver event-based supply chain and e-commerce solutions to its customers. The program enables integration of planning and execution systems with disparate customer and trading partner systems to improve communications and planning collaboration.
Exel is participating in a new pricing plan implemented by Viewlocity to reduce high up-front licensing and installation costs. Exel will pay a lower up-front licensing fee and be charged by transaction as business volume grows on the system, Viewlocity said.
