EXPRESS CONTAINER SERVICE ADDS CHINESE PORTS TO ASIA/MED LINK

Express Container Service, the new German shipping line close to the former owners of Norasia, is adding direct calls at the ports of Shanghai and Chiwan to its shuttle service between Hong Kong and Trieste.

The first call at Shanghai will be by the ADCL Shereen on Thursday (Dec. 7), followed by a call at Chiwan, in South China, on Saturday (Dec. 9).

The transit time from Hong Kong to Trieste, Italy, will remain 14 days, as previously.

Express Container Service is adding a sixth vessel of about 1,400-TEU capacity to the weekly service. Weekly calls at Abu Dhabi are being ended.

Updated details and transit times of the service and all other services between China and Europe are posted on the global liner shipping database ComPairData at http://www.compairdata.com.
