FAA NAMES BERTRAM CFO

   The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has appointed Chris P. Bertram to assistant administrator for financial services and chief financial officer.

   In this role, Bertram will oversee a budget of more than $13 billion and will serve as FAA Administrator Jane F. Garvey’s principal advisor on budget, performance management and financial issues.

   Prior to joining the FAA, Bertram served as a senior professional aide for House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. He helped draft legislation such as the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century and the Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century.

   He also served in various positions in the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Transportation Department.
