FAMOUS PACIFIC SHIPPING OPENS BEIJING OFFICE
Famous Pacific Shipping Group, the large Asian-based non-vessel-operating common carrier and forwarder, has opened an office in Beijing as part of its ongoing expansion in China.
Initially the office will operate as a satellite of the Famous Pacific Shipping hub in Tianjin and will be used primarily for sales and marketing liaison.
“Expanding operations in China is one of the Famous Pacific Shipping Group’s key development objectives,” said Benny Ling, chairman of the group’s executive committee and the director responsible for China.
The NVOCC and forwarder already has a network of 13 offices and some 400 staff in China. Famous Pacific Shipping said that it is looking to increase this “by at least 50 percent” over the next year.
The group has NVOCC licences in Tianjin and Dalian.
