FCS STARTS INTERNET-BASED CONSULAR SERVICE FOR GOVERNMENTS
FCS, a providers of international trade Internet application services, has announced a new system to allow countries requiring consular certifications of shipments to receive this information electronically.
“The e-Consular Service is truly scalable,” FCS said. “The client country is free to choose their own implementation path. A customized e-Consular Service can be installed on a country-by-country basis, regionally or globally. The chosen implementation path will be designed to suit the requirements and needs of the client country.”
FCS, based in Silver Spring, Md., has already put the system into practice. The Saudi Arabian Export Information Sheet (EIS) system, now in operation for all U.S. export shipments to Saudi Arabia, was developed and is maintained by FCS using the e-Consular Service technology and approach.
“When a shipment is authorized anywhere around the globe, the full detail of the shipment is loaded into a central trade database for use by the client country almost immediately. This is capable of creating almost any report required,” the company said.
