FEDEX DOUBLES CAPACITY IN KEY ASIA/EUROPE ROUTE
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has increased its capacity for heavy freight between one of its biggest Asia/Europe routes with the introduction of MD-11 freighters.
The westbound flight connects FedEx’s AsiaOne hub at Subic Bay to its EuroOne hub at Charles DeGaulle Paris, via Bombay and Dubai.
The carrier’s capacity on this route has increased to 100,000 pounds. FedEx is also able to offer later cut-off times for shipments to Western Europe and earlier flight arrivals in Paris.
“This infrastructure improvement, which benefits multiple markets in both Asia and Europe, is the result of strategic re-engineering of FedEx Express flight schedules without adding aircraft to its fleet,” the company said.
