FedEx to expand air service to Japan
FedEx Express said it will begin scheduled air freight service to the Chubu region of Japan when the Central Japan International Airport opens in February, becoming the third Japanese airport FedEx serves.
FedEx flies to Narita International Airport and Kansai International Airport.
“As the third-largest economic area following Tokyo and Osaka, the Chubu region will grow in importance,” said David Ross, FedEx vice president, North Pacific Region, in a statement. “These regular flights … will provide our customers in the Chubu region with even better access to our services and connectivity to the rest of our network.”
Chubu is a major automobile and information technology manufacturing center.
