FESCO INCREASES NORTH AMERICA/RUSSIA RATES
Far Eastern Shipping Co., the Russian-based shipping line, said it is increasing westbound and eastbound transpacific freight rates to and from Russia.
The carrier said the increases are due to higher costs of operating the Fesco American Russian Express Line service, but did not detail the amounts of the rate hikes, which are effective Feb. 13.
“These increases will only effect the freight rate, and are based on commodity types and equipment size,” a spokesman for FESCO said.
