FESCO RAISES FUMIGATION SURCHARGE
FESCO Agencies N.A., based in Seattle, has issued a notice to its North American shippers that it will raise its fumigation rates by $20 per container bound to Australia/New Zealand.
The current rate of $75 per 20-foot or 40-foot container requiring fumigation in the trade will increase to $95, starting Jan. 1.
“FESCO Australia North America Line will be following this trend effective on all shipments received on or after Jan. 27, 2001,” the carrier said.
