Finnair Cargo adds capacity between Helsinki, London

The Nordic cargo carrier will add belly cargo capacity to its route between Helsinki, Finland and London Heathrow to facilitate the increase in cargo demand on the route.

Finnair will add belly cargo capacity to its route between Helsinki, Finland and London Heathrow starting Oct. 25 to facilitate the increase in cargo demand on the route.
The belly cargo capacity will be offered on a wide-body passenger aircraft with three weekly frequencies on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays.
In addition, Finnair and IAG Cargo signed a freighter sharing deal on a service between Helsinki, Finland and London Luton Airport, which is scheduled to commence Sept. 16. The new service, which will use an Airbus 300-600 all-cargo plane, will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Finnair recently established its cargo hub in London to better connect the United Kingdom with its Asian network and to offer its customers improved connections to North America using the cargo network of its partner, IAG Cargo.
The airline has additional cargo hubs in Brussels, Belgium and Helsinki, Finland.
