FMC INCREASES FEES
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has announced increases in its fees charged for filing petitions, complaints, ocean transportation intermediary applications and other services, effective July 15.
The changes in the level of fees also concern public information services such as record searches, document copying, admissions to practice, applications for special permission, service contracts, and passenger vessel performance and casualty certificate applications.
“These revised fees reflect current costs to the commission,” the FMC said.
In addition, the agency is adding a new fee for the provision of a database report on effective carrier agreements.
