FMC REVIEWS 13 OTI LICENSE APPLICATIONS, 18 LICENSES REVOKED
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission will review 13 firm’s license applications to become ocean transportation intermediaries.
Companies requesting a non-vessel-operating common carrier OTI license are A.C.T. Logistics, Jamaica, N.Y., Annie Chik, president; Concord Express, Hawthorne, Calif., Joseph Chang, chairman; Kase Logistics, Buena Park, Calif., Kun Kai Chang, president; Speedway Freight Services, Jamaica, N.Y., Woong Chol Kang, president; Bestway Logistics, Gardena, Calif., Shine Daniel Lee, president; and J&B Logistics, Carson, Calif., OK B. Park, president.
Companies requesting a NVO/ocean freight forwarder OTI license are Alliance Overseas Shipping, Brooklyn, N.Y., James Hubert, president; Bahaghari, Glendora, Calif., Leandro R. Dinglasan, president; Louisiana Forwarder, Kenner, La., Alba L. Labrano, partner; Hansen Shipping, Decatur, Ga., Peter Aaro-Hansen, president; International Freight Logistics, Los Angeles, Clemencia T. Hilvano, president; Washington Movers, Lorton, Va., Sam R. Ghanem, president; and Continental Logistic Service, Los Angeles, Cindy H. Shin.

The FMC also revoked 16 OTI licenses for failure to maintain valid bonds. Two firms voluntarily surrendered their OTI licenses to the agency.
