FMC reviews 14 OTI applications, revokes 15 licenses

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission will review 15 ocean transportation intermediary license applications.

   The agency received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from A. Royal Shipping Line, Houston (Michael Bashir Sarakbi, president); Whisky Shippers and Movers, Brooklyn, N.Y. (Karron McSween, president); Filipinas Cargo Express, Ceres, Calif. (Rey Tagaloguin, president); and Caricom Shipping, Sparrows Point, Md. (Ansel Hall, president).

   The FMC received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from BTL Group, Salt Lake City, Utah (Bret Miller, president); W Logistics LLC, Edison, N.J. (Ravi Mayor, president); Trans-America Express, Chino Hills, Calif. (Sulan Zhang, president); UT Freight Forwarders Ltd., Jamaica, N.Y. (John Hwang, president); Power T International, Houston (Richard Tsai, president); and Wastaki Freight International, Miramar, Fla. (Patrick Walters, president).

   The agency also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Caribou International, Spring, Texas (Brian John Mensi, president); Harbor Trading Co., Toledo, Ohio (Michael J. Langenhurst, president); Famex International Shipping, Englewood Cliffs, N.J. (Fadi Kabbara, president); and CBS Marine, Boca Raton, Fla. (Vadims Tjutins, director).

   The FMC revoked 15 OTI licenses for failure to maintain valid bonds with the agency. The firms are A.C.M. Export Corp., Houston; ACD Cargo, Miami; Altamar Shipping Services, Tampa, Fla.; Amerindias, Miami; Crane Cargo System, Miami; Inexco Corp., San Francisco; Inter-Continental Corp., Miami; Karl Schroff & Associates, Valley Stream, N.Y.; PLS International, Monaca, Pa.; Seaflet, Miami; Suarez Shipping Services, Miami; Trans-Aero-Mar, Miami; Varko International Corp., Medley, Fla.; William Riddle, Philadelphia; and World International Cargo Transfer USA, Gardena, Calif.
