FMC reviews 14 OTI applications, revokes 16 licenses

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission will review 14 ocean transportation intermediary license applications for approval.

   The agency received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Caribbean Express Shipping Co., Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., Chijioki Azuogu, president; R&S Trading, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Carlos Sanchez, owner; Air Trans Logistics (USA), Jamaica, N.Y., Yim Chi Wong, vice president; Sta. Lucia Cargo, Oxnard, Calif., Paulino J. Gerardo, chief financial officer; and New Cargo Express Corp., S. Ozone Park, N.Y., Estervina Rodriguez, president.

   The FMC received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Skysea Freight International USA, Elk Grove Village, Ill., Sherry Lynn Gocal, member manager; Global Express Shipping & Delivery, Lawrenceville, Ga., Alfred M. Khannu, president/chairman; Freight Systems, Jamaica, N.Y., David Phillips, president; Consolidated Shipping Line, New York, Albert Panelli, vice president; and Barrow Freight System, Fairfield, Calif., David Wang, vice president.

   The agency also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Argo Cargo, Miramar, Fla., Daniel F. Murray III, president; International Freight Experts, Bradenton, Fla., Christine Ann Aron, president; Gorham Export Packing, Houston, Gerson D. Sosa, managing director; and Globe Express International, Cerritos, Calif., Linne D. Flores, president.

   The FMC revoked 16 OTI licenses for failure to maintain valid bonds. These firms are All-Cargo Express, Coral Springs, Fla.; Compass Shipping, Brooklyn, N.Y.; David K. Lindemuth Co., South San Francisco, Calif.; DRW Transportation Services, North Little Rock, Ark.; Eugenia Shilling Shaw, San Mateo, Calif.; Global Container Line, Miami; Jury Trans, Miami; MTL Worldwide Agency, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Piscataqua Global Logistics, Greenland, N.H.; Reliable Overseas Shipping & Trading, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Shanghai Aaron Shipping & Enterprises, Belmont, Calif.; Straightline Logistics, Jamaica, N.Y.; U.S. International Forwarding Agency, Miami; Vladimir G. Manegdeg, Santa Cruz, Calif.; World Cargo Corp., Miami; and Zust Bachmeier of Switzerland, Baltimore.
