FMC REVIEWS 14 OTI APPLICATIONS, REVOKES 5 LICENSES
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission will review 14 ocean transportation intermediary license applications.
The agency received non-vessel-operating common carrier OTI license applications from Americar Global Logistics, Miami, Michael O’Neal Archer, president; Topocean Consolidation Service, Bensenville, Ill., C.C. Chen, manager; William’s Caribbean Shipping & Delivery Services, Brooklyn, N.Y., Charles Williams, president; Trans Global-NA USA, Union, N.J., Poul Rosander, vice president; Topwinner Transportation (USA), Alhambra, Calif., Fu-Chiu Chou, president; Polo Logistics, New York, Hasan Akipek, vice president; Fox Freight Forwarders, Miami, Maria S. Hugues, president; and Canon Express, Los Angeles, James J. Jhung, president.
The FMC received NVO/ocean freight forwarder OTI license applications from J.D. Pacific, Fresh Meadows, N.Y., Ying 'Kathy Liu, executive manager; Publiship Logistics, Hoboken, N.J., Wolfgang H.G. Schmid, vice president; and CDS Overseas, Rosedale, N.Y., Danston Lam, vice president.
The agency also received forwarder OTI license applications from Kodai (USA), Hacienda Heights, Calif., An Wenqi, chief executive officer; Intersect Systems International, Escondido, Calif. (Alycia Cerini, president); and Kare International, Los Angeles, Katy C. Chang, sole proprietor.

In addition, the FMC revoked the OTI licenses of Golden Jet-L.A. of Hawthorne, Calif., and Loor International Forwarders in Miami for failure to maintain valid bonds. H.A. & J.L. Wood of Penbina, N.D.; La Flor De Mayo Express of Bronx, N.Y.; and Shipping Corp. of America at Singer Island, Fla. voluntarily surrendered their OTI licenses to the agency.
