FMC reviews 6 intermediaries’ applications, revokes 8 licenses

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission is reviewing six ocean transportation intermediary license applications and revoking eight licenses.

   The agency received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from: Regal Shipping Inc., West Palm Beach, Fla. (Edward T. Nevins, president); and Inter-Continental Trading Inc., South El Monte, Calif. (Cheng Zhou, Zhou, president).

   The FMC received NVO-ocean freight forwarder license applications from: Interport Freight Services Inc., East Boston, Mass. (Joseph D’Urso, president); and Sea Shipping Line (California) Inc., Oakland, Calif. (Frank Rosenberg, president).

   The FMC received ocean freight forwarder applications from: UCB Logistics Inc., Los Angeles (Young S. Chang, president); and Traffich Tech International US LLC, Arlington, Va. (Collin Anday, director).

   Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license are urged to contact the FMC’s Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington at (202) 523-5843.

   The FMC also revoked eight OTI licenses for failure to maintain valid bonds. The companies concerned are: AAA International Freight Forwarding Group Inc., Miami; Boston Worldwide Inc., Chelsea, Mass.; Danmax International Corp., Miami; American Consultative Logistics, Franklin Square, N.Y.; Honor Truck & Transfer Inc., Long Beach, Calif.; J.H. Bachmann Inc., Jersey City, N.J.; P.Y. Logistics Inc., Gardena, Calif.; and Southern Shipping Co., Savannah, Ga.
