FMI International opens Charleston facility
The logistics company FMI International has opened a new facility in Charleston, S.C.
'Many of our customers have been asking us to expand into this market,' said Mike DeSaye, FMI’s chief logistics officer. 'With the growth of the all water services from Asia, as well as the continued shift in sourcing to Latin America for many apparel companies, the demand for quality service in the Port of Charleston is tremendous.'
FMI will offer transload and cross-dock services, warehousing and distribution services, pier drayage and regional trucking services. The company will use a combination of company drivers and owner-operators.
