FORMER CUSTOMS COMMISSIONER AMBROSE JOINS SANDLER & TRAVIS
Myles J. Ambrose, who served as U.S. Customs commissioner during the Nixon administration, is joining Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services Inc. as a senior advisor.
Ambrose has 50 years of experience in private and public sectors advising clients on international trade and customs matters. After serving as commissioner from 1969-1972, Nixon appointed him to head the White House Office of Drug Abuse Law Enforcement, where he was responsible for the creation of the Drug Enforcement Administration in 1973.
Ambrose will also serve as counsel to Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., a leading customs and international trade law firm affiliated with STTAS. Ambrose joins a number of former senior Customs officials at the firm, including four past deputy commissioners — Charles W. Winwood, Samuel H. Banks, Michael H. Lane and Alfred R. De Angelus.
