FORMER EXPORT ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL MAJAK JOINS MYCUSTOMS
Former Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration Roger Majak has joined myCustoms, an Internet-based international trade management firm, as vice president of trade and compliance.
In this role, Majak will be responsible for expanding myCustoms’ international trade compliance capabilities and for strengthening access to national and international government regulators and regulatory data.
At Commerce, Majak administered the U.S. export control, defense trade promotion and foreign investment compliance programs for the Export Administration. He was appointed to the post by President Clinton in April 1997.
Majak previously served as director of government affairs for Tektronix, a manufacturer of electronic test equipment, and as chief of staff of the House Subcommittee on International Economic Policy and Trade, where he helped create major trade legislation, such as the International Economic Emergency Powers Act, Export Administration Act, Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act and Trading Compliance Act. He also served as legislative director for law firm Powell, Goldstein, Frazer and Murphy.
