Former GM executive to manage China affairs for USTR
U.S. Trade Representative Rob Portman has appointed Timothy Stratford to assistant USTR for China affairs.
Stratford will be responsible for developing and implementing U.S. trade policy related to mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and Mongolia.
Prior to this appointment, Stratford served as general counsel for General Motor’s China operations. He was also previously a partner in the Beijing office of Coudert Brothers, a New York-based law firm.
