FORMER UPS EXECUTIVE JOINS TRANSPLACE BOARD
Robert J. Clanin, retired chief financial officer of United Parcel Service, has joined the board of directors for Transplace, a provider of logistics and transportation management services formed by six publicly held truckload carriers.
Clanin joined UPS in 1970 and assumed the position of CFO in 1994, supervising the integrator's $5-billion initial public offering in 1999. He currently serves as chairman of Overseas Partners Ltd., a Bermuda reinsurance company.
