GE ENCOURAGES INDUSTRY TO ATTEND EC FORUM

   GE Global eXchange Services, the information technology unit of industrial giant General Electric Co., is encouraging logistics and transport officials to attend the company's annual electronic commerce forum in February.

   Transport-related topics covered include a look at transportation dot-coms, freight exchanges and logistics solutions in marketplaces, as well as general sessions about the business benefits of e-commerce, the technology behind e-commerce and about digital marketplaces. More than 15,000 officials from Fortune 500 companies have been invited to attend.

   Executives from logistics concerns, including FedEx Corp., Fritz Cos., Danzas-AEI, FreightDesk.com and ComPair Data Inc., have been invited to speak. ComPair Data is an independently-owned information technology company affiliated with American Shipper parent Howard Publications Inc.

   The forum, entitled “Creating the Intelligent Supply Chain,” will be held in Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 18-21 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. More information can be obtained at www.gxs.ec4m.com.
