GE SIGNS FIVE-YEAR PACT WITH CF
General Electric Company has awarded a five-year, $200 million freight transportation contract with Consolidated Freightways, a provider of less-than-truckload freight transportation across North America.
Consolidated Freightways will provide supply chain services for all 12 GE businesses and their subsidiary units, which have aggregate revenues of $126 billion annually.
In addition, GE has asked Consolidated Freightways to implement the provider’s suite of e-commerce applications and provide web visibility within each GE company.
Up to now, Consolidated Freightways has assisted GE with specialty expedited and cross-border freight. That work will continue.
