Genco Distribution System acquires Iogistics
Genco Distribution System, a logistics service provider, has acquired IOgistics, a non-asset transportation and logistics company based in Green Bay, Wis.
IOgistics’s transportation management software, carrier management, network analysis and parcel services will enable Genco to offer “complete supply chain management offerings for retailers, manufacturers and distributors,” Genco said in a statement.
Genco will use ShipIO, IOgistics’s proprietary software, to manage its transportation services.
IOgistics, which has 35 employees, will continue to operate in Green Bay. Genco, based in Pittsburgh, has 5,500 employees, 80 facilities in the U.S., and 100 software installations globally.
