Generation Logistics picks IES software
Generation Logistics Inc., a Jamaica, N.Y.-based logistics provider specializing in oversized and time-sensitive shipments, has selected applications from IES Ltd., a provider of integrated software for freight forwarders, to manage shipments of air and ocean imports and exports.
'Many other forwarders at JFK (Airport) used and recommended IES software ' we are replacing a DOS system, and currently rekey the same information in six places. IES's integrated system will not only save us a great deal of time, but will allow us to offer Web tracking,' said Daniel Corbett, director of Generation Logistics.
'Our clients tend to become frustrated searching airline Web sites for shipment status, since (such sites) don't contain enough information. With IES Web tracking, we can add the detailed notations our clients need,' Corbett said.
IES Ltd. has its headquarters in Midland Park, N.J.
