GEOLOGISTICS ACQUIRES CHINESE NVOCC LICENSE
GeoLogistics Corp., the North American non-asset-based logistics provider, said it has acquired a non-vessel-operating-operating common carrier operating license for China.
The approved license from the Chinese Minister of Communications in Beijing comes only a few weeks after China began accepting applications for NVOCC operating licenses.
GeoLogistics has been operating in the Asia Pacific for more than 50 years and said it has seen significant growth in all major markets within the region over the past decade.
The license 'places GeoLogistics in a strong position to meet and capitalize upon the rapidly evolving logistics requirement our clients and the global marketplace are demanding within China,' said Ricky Lam, chief executive officer for GeoLogistics' Hong Kong and China operation.
GeoLogistics established an office in Hong Kong in 1973.
