GEOLOGISTICS REALIGNS PROJECT CARGO OPERATIONS
GeoLogistics Corp., a provider of freight management and integrated logistics services, said Friday its Matrix International Logistics unit, based in Norwalk, Conn., now has responsibility for “largely government-related business” conducted at a facility in Alexandria, Va.
The Virginia operation was formerly managed by GeoLogistics Project Cargo Services, based in Houston, “which now is concentrating on its core commercial sales and services business,” GeoLogistics said in a statement.
“Government project activity in Alexandria … when combined with our international household goods service, will present a single product offering to our customers,” said Abe Ramish, president of Matrix.
