GEORGIA-PACIFIC RENEWS CONTRACTS WITH J.B. HUNT
Georgia-Pacific, the big manufacturer of paper, building and related chemical products, said Thursday it has renewed four contracts with J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., the Lowell, Ark.-based transportation and logistics provider.
The multiyear contracts continue J.B. Hunt's dedicated fleet service at four Georgia-Pacific converting plants in North America. J.B. Hunt delivers corrugated boxes and sheets to G-P customers in each region.
The two companies have worked together since 1992. Today, J.B. Hunt provides dedicated transportation services to 11 locations for Georgia-Pacific's packaging division and consumer products division.
“We are focused on supporting the Georgia-Pacific packaging division's supply chain strategy shift from supply-driven to demand-driven,” said John N. Roberts, president, J.B. Hunt Dedicated Contract Services.
