GEORGIA PORTS AUTHORITY APPOINTS ARMSTRONG IT DIRECTOR
Georgia Ports Authority has promoted Tom Armstrong to director of information technology.
In his new position, Armstrong will direct the day-to-day activities of the information technology department, as well as oversee the implementation of new technology to benefit port operations and support port customers and users of GPA port facilities.
Armstrong joined the port authority in 1990 as general manager of operations and later served as manager of support services. In 1997, he assumed the position of manager of information services.
Prior to joining the GPA, Armstrong served as manager of regional operations for Hanjin Shipping Co. Ltd. in Savannah.
