Germanischer Lloyd names Wasmansdorff VP for East Asia
Hamburg-based classification society Germanischer Lloyd has appointed Volkmar Wasmansdorff as its vice president for East Asia following the retirement of Hergen Thielemann.
Wasmansdorff was vice president of marketing at Uhde GmbH responsible for business development in South West Asia. At Germanischer Lloyd, he will be responsible for business activities in Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
