GIANT EAGLE TAPS G-LOG FOR INBOUND MANAGEMENT SOLUTION
Giant Eagle, a Pittsburgh-based food retailer and distributor with more than $4.2 billion in annual sales, has selected G-Log, a provider of logistics software, for a solution to manage inbound transportation.
“We needed a single software platform that provides real-time benefits at every step of the logistics lifecycle,” said Bill Parry, Giant Eagle’s vice president of logistics, explaining why his company chose G-Log’s GC3 application.
Giant Eagle expects to complete phase one of its implementation of G-Log’s solution in less than 100 days.
G-Log, based in Shelton, Conn., has predicted eventual cost savings of 10 to 15 percent from on-time deliveries and increased control of freight movements.
