The Arizona-headquartered freight broker has made nine acquisitions since January 2017.
GlobalTranz Enterprises Inc., a technology and third-party logistics solutions company that provides transportation management systems to shippers, logistics service providers and carriers, said Tuesday it has acquired Circle 8 Logistics, a provider of third-party multimodal transportation and logistics services throughout North America.
GlobalTranz, headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., is ranked as the 10th-largest broker in the United States by Transport Topics. The deal is its ninth acquisition since January 2017.
Circle 8 is headquartered in Lombard, Ill., and GlobalTranz said with the Circle 8 acquisition it “continues to expand its presence in the Chicago area,” where it already has offices in Niles and downtown Chicago.
Renee Krug, chief executive officer of GlobalTranz, said, “Circle 8 has combined a focus on people, processes and technology to drive growth via unique solutions for its customers and strong carrier partnerships. The combination will further accelerate our growth and market leadership in the 3PL industry.”
