Golar LNG raises $51 million through share issue
Golar LNG, the Nasdaq-listed liquefied natural gas tanker shipping company controlled by the Scandinavian shipowner John Fredriksen, has sold 4 million of its own shares in an equity offering aimed mainly towards international institutional investors.
The equity offering will give net proceeds of about $51 million, and was “significantly oversubscribed,” Golar LNG said. The company’s share capital will, after the registration of the share issue, consist of 65.5 million shares, each at a par value of $1.
Golar LNG said that the additional capital “will be dedicated to future growth of the business.”
