Goltens shifts Miami execs

Arild Kirkeby, who has been manager of Goltens Miami for the last five years, has been promoted to Goltens Worldwide vice president of business development.

Goltens is a Norwegian company with operations around the world, providing specialized repair, maintenance, reconditioning services and trading of engineering components for shipping companies.

A statement from world headquarters in Oslo said during his five years at Goltens Miami, Kirkeby has increased sales in Miami by more than 100 per cent. He will continue to focus on increasing business in the Americas.

Morten Lindkvist has been named to fill Kirkeby’s previous position as managing director of Goltens Miami.

After a successful career as an engineer, Lindkvist was recruited by Goltens Dubai as project manager in 2001, where he helped bring a more structured approach to Dubai’s day-to-day operations. Lindkvist was soon promoted to general manager at Goltens Bahrain, where he played a significant role in developing that business by utilizing and implementing his keen organizational and management.

“We are confident that Lindkvist’s discipline and management expertise, combined with the experienced team already in place in Miami, will bring more efficiency and profitability to the Goltens Miami service operations,” said Mark Rutkowski, Goltens' managing director and chief financial officer.
